US ITC to review imports of steel plate from 5 countries

The US International Trade Commission has voted to conduct full five-year "sunset" reviews of steel plate imports from five countries. The Commission will now proceed with reviews of antidumping and countervailing duty orders on cut-to-length steel plate from India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, and South Korea.
The commission staff will make an assessment of the likelihood of the recurrence of material injury to domestic steel plate producers due to the revocation of these orders. Both domestic and foreign companies will receive questionnaires, followed by a public hearing at a future date in Washington to hear testimony.
